Now it’s time to learn a bunch of songs! Get some practice reading chord sheets and lead sheets. Pretty soon you get a knack for it, and soon you’ll be able to learn songs quickly.

This time, we recap our 5 main keys and 5 main rhythms. Again, a few additional tips are given for how to get these really working for you as a growing guitarist.

Be sure to mix around the various rhythms with the various keys. Important: regularly change the arrangement or order of chords that you play, so you don’t get stuck into a habit of only playing chords in a particular sequence. True mastery of the chords requires that you regularly shuffle around the arrangements and write your own progressions.
