In this lesson we discuss another way to play the common chords in the key of E. These are wonderful, common variations of the E chords that you will love to learn and play!

Let’s learn some common substitutions for the A chord and B chord that are found in the key of E. We trade out the standard A chord for an “A2” chord, and we trade out the B chord for a “B suspended” chord. We also look at a new version of the C#m chord learned earlier.
These new substitutions sound great, and they also make our guitar E progression a little easier to play.
